Looking for a specific class of precious metals dealer in Arkansas?
Buying Gold and Silver in Arkansas
The state, though not historically known for gold mining like some of its neighbors, has seen a rise in gold and silver trading. Investors and collectors alike are drawn to Arkansas’s growing number of bullion dealers and coin shops.
Arkansas offers a variety of options for purchasing gold and silver, from retail sales to online trading. The state’s bullion dealers and coin shops provide a wide range of products for those looking to invest in precious metals, as detailed in our list of gold dealers in Arkansas and Arkansas gold buyers.
Buying from Arkansas Gold Dealers
With the increasing value of gold and silver, purchasing these metals in Arkansas should be approached with caution and due diligence.
We advise buyers to research the reputation of dealers. This can be done by checking reviews on our site or on other general business review platforms. The Arkansas BBB and the Arkansas Chamber of Commerce can also provide insights into the credibility of dealers.
After completing your purchase, please contribute to our community by adding your experiences to our Arkansas gold dealer reviews.
Are Bullion Sales Taxed in Arkansas?
Until October 2021, Arkansas had a 6% sales tax on bullion bars and coins – but following passing of Senate Bill 336 into law, this was reduced to zero.
Gold and silver investments are however liable for capital gains tax (CGT) on gains made at time of disposal.
Once a poor sales location for bullion investors, Arkansas is now one of the better states – and if it follows Arizona’s and Utah’s lead by elimination CGT on bullion it will only get better.
