Our ‘tri-metal’ cube design had been in use since 2016 and despite a change from the site’s original (very) yellow color scheme to a more subtle gold one in 2019 we’ve been using the trusty cube for much of the directory’s 10 year – and counting – life.
For the first two years we ran with a simple logo featuring the initials bd – until someone asked why we used a bra as our branding and the cube was launched shortly after!
I personally liked ‘the bra’, I liked ‘the cube’ and now I give you what one of our staff has dubbed ‘the toast rack’
Of course it’s not actually a toast rack and our design team are at pains to point out “it carries on the overall shape and aesthetic of the cube, but now in the stylized form of directory files.”
And if you look carefully you’ll see these directory files cleverly take their form from the on-end gold bullion bar at the rear…
Still, it’s now called the toast rack.
We’ve also made some subtle edits to the styling of the site, widening the overall page to account for larger screen sizes and changing / enlarging the main font whilst replacing the background white with a light gray for better legibility and slightly lower contrast to reduce eye-strain.
This small site refresh is making way for the full-site redesign which is, I’m told, nearing launch.

I really like it Alison. Wow it’s hard to believe you guys have been going for 10 years already and longer if you consider Bullion.Directory as the relaunch of it’s predecessor. I’ve enjoyed watching the growth of the site over the years and wish you all the best for the next 10!
Now you’re making me feel old Chris! Yes New Gold Investments brings our tally to 12 years of a sometimes masochistic dedication to the cause. AND I’m still waiting on $3500 gold you promised!

Looking good Ally! I did spot the gold bar but now all I see is a toast rack and I think Mac needs sacking for that nickname.
