We live in a world where incentives to work hard and produce are disappearing. Politicians and bureaucrats deem that if one’s wealth is too excessive – a product of production -then it should be taxed and given to those considered less fortunate.

Professor Mike Adams, UNC-Wilmington, made headlines last week as he welcomed his new class with a speech that eloquently describes the sad wave of political correctness and collectivism that has overtaken the United States, especially on college campuses.

I then came across a video where Adams crisply and concisely lays out why socialism will never work because it disincentives individuals to compete and produce. In a world where everyone is “equal” and placed under an artificial ceiling there is no will to want to achieve more.

Here Adams discuses socialist principles when applying it to college grade point averages:
