I cannot say enough about my bad experience at this store with the owners’ attitude towards his customers. I wanted to help a friend sell some junk silver left to her by her deceased father. I have been buying bullion for about 4 years as a way to save. I have done well and had such good experiences dealing with bullion dealers in Vancouver, Canada and expected the same quality service in Sherbrooke Quebec. I was very dissapointed by the owners’ dismissive attitude and unfair offer for the American constitutional silver we wanted to sell. I left with my friend to discover the business is the only one in town. With a monopoly I guess he can afford to undercut his customers.
To make a long story short, I was able to get $244.00 MORE for the same silver coins in Vancouver at a local coin dealer; where as at Monnaie Sherbrooke (the only show in town), I was offered a pittance with a ‘take it or leave it’ brush off. So, I end this review with a ‘ Buyer Beware’ when looking for a fair deal at any coin shop, especially at Monnaie Sherbrooke.
